I am a multidisciplinary leader with expertise in healthcare and pastoral care, guiding individuals and groups to transform challenges into opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

Meet Sheela

Hi, I’m Sheela Paul, registered Counsellor with the Psychotherapy & Counselling Association of Australia (PACFA) and PACFA West Leadership Group Member.

My practice is based in Canning Vale, where I provide compassionate and professional counselling services to help individuals thrive in every aspect of their lives. I believe that validation and growth must go hand in hand and I believe in a tough-love approach.

At Gritworks Counselling Services, I offer tailored one-on-one sessions and group therapy, covering a wide range of topics and specialised services. These include women’s mental health, therapy for medical professionals, support for fly-in fly-out (FIFO) workers and their families, and grief and loss support. My background in healthcare and pastoral care has given me the privilege of working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, helping them transform challenges into opportunities for growth and self-discovery.

I utilise a combination of Narrative Therapy, Strength-Based Counselling, and Psychodynamic Therapy to create a personalised approach for each client. My goal is to act as a catalyst for positive change, empowering individuals and families to navigate life’s complexities and achieve their fullest potential.

Areas of expertise:

  • Cultural assimilation in the workplace – Helping individuals navigate Australian work culture.
  • Empowering women in management – Overcoming impostor syndrome and building confidence.
  • Mental health for boys and men – Supporting emotional resilience and wellness.
  • ADHD counselling for adults – Strategies to help adults manage and thrive.
  • Group therapy facilitation – Topics include perimenopause and self-esteem in women.
  • Individual counselling – Tailored support for personal growth and well-being.
  • Counselling for ageing and elderly care – Compassionate support for the challenges of ageing.

If you’re ready to embark on your journey of personal growth, I’d love to hear from you. Feel free to reach out and book a free 10-minute consultation to discuss how I can support you. Together, we can work towards a life that is full, meaningful, and uniquely yours.
